Not quite invisible but close...

After going the weekend and getting "acquainted" with my aligners Monday at work was pretty easy. Taking them out is much easier today then it has been. (Thanks maybe to the slight movement of teeth already and some key located callouses).

Most people really didn't know I had them on. A few people asked if I had a slight cold, or sore thraot. So my speech is still an issue.

I had a button fall off too. I may have to go back to the dentist and get it replaced. If your dentist or Ortho did not mention this in your original talks about invisalign be sure to bring it up!!! I have 5 buttons. They actually are very noticeable without the aligners in. And food often gets caught on them when eating. This will increase your feelings of self consciousness you probably already have...hence getting invisalign.

Hey, what do you use to clean your trays? I was going to get the Invisalign system but instead I got a sample of retainer brite and I liked it so I bought the sonic cleaner and the retainer brite at the dentakit website.

The aligners move the teeth in the first few days thats when its much easier to remove them and the pressure and any pain goes away for the rest of the 2 week period. Some aligner sets seem tighter than others too. Thats normal.

If an attachment falls off, either they didn't bond it properly (time with the blue light) or perhaps it was on a crown? It takes a different kind of bonding agent I heard for crowns vs. natural teeth.

Retainer Brite or cheaper Efferdent(or store brand) type tablets available in stores works great for cleaning the aligners. Use one tablet per day with warm water for 15-20min in a clear plastic cup. Keeps 'em clear and clean easily. Do it while eating breakfast in the morning and then they are clean for the day.

Hi there
Sounds like you're on a parallel track to me on Invisalign. I'd like to know how things worked out for you.

I've got an Invisalign blog too, chronicling my Budapest Invisalign orthodontic treatment - http://www.invisibletourist.blogspot.com/
